S-series split nut, also known as expanding nuts,which are a specific type of fastener used in sheet metal riveting. The working principle is to place the expanding nut into a pre-drilled hole in the sheet and then use a special tool to push the nut outwards from the inside, forming an effective internal thread on the thin plate.

The advantage of this riveting method is that it causes plastic deformation of the base material during extrusion, which is pushed into a specially designed pre-formed slot, thereby achieving reliable connection between two parts. This ensures that the expanding nut forms a secure fixing effect on the thin plate.

S-series split nut are mainly divided into two types based on their shape: round and hexagonal. Round expanding nuts are generally not hardened to maintain their toughness and avoid cracking due to excessive stress during use. Hexagonal expanding nuts, on the other hand, are directly turned by a hexagonal bar.

When selecting S-series split nut, material selection is also very important. Common materials include iron galvanized and stainless steel. In addition, it is necessary to select the appropriate specifications and models according to the actual application environment and installation requirements, such as Z, ZS, M3, M4, M5, M6, M8, M10, M12, etc.
